Imagine/ recollect vividly the situation where you have acted badly & irresponsibly, about which you feel guilty, thinking of which makes you cringe with guilt.
To heal yourself of this past negative experience, sit comfortably in a quiet place, take a few deep breaths and relax. Next, breathe in & accept total responsibility for that particular action, without in any way trying to defend or justify your behaviour. Acknowledge your mistake & wholeheartedly ask for forgiveness.
As you breathe out, send out forgiveness, healing & understanding. Breathe in responsibility & healing, and breathe out forgiveness & reconciliation.
Continue the practice till you feel light & feel free from all guilt. Continue with such sessions over a period of time till you are completely free from the guilt.
Remember, breathe out guilt, breathe in new life. A life lived in full awareness of thoughts & actions.
Guilt is a miserable feeling & can be a harbinger of many problems & diseases in life and in body.
To permanently eliminate such a condition, it is imperative to work consistently to dissolve the mental cause.
Thought patterns that cause disease(s) in the body are resentment, guilt, criticism & anger. Long held resentment fester and eat away into the individual, and can lead to tumours & cancers. Guilt manifests as pain & punishment for self. Constant indulgence in criticism can cause arthritis and rheumatism. Anger sprouts and manifests as boils & infections in the body. The list is long, these are just to name a few.
We can all take responsibility of our lives & health with joyous thoughts of infinite love permeating our very being.
